'You Are Special:' Speakers Inspire at LHS Graduation

Lexington High's Class of 2013 commencement ceremony was held Sunday, June 9 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell.

From the outgoing class president pledging support for One Fund Boston to a challenge from City Year's co-founder and CEO to "dive into Democracy" the way generations of Lexington Minutemen have done before them, speakers sought to inspire at the LHS commencement ceremonies held Sunday in Lowell.

Also, Lexington High faculty commencement speaker Shane Wilson flipped the script on the "You're Not Special" speech out of Wellesley that broke the Internet last year. Spoiler Alert: Wilson went with "You ARE Special."

Double spoiler alert: You can watch excerpts from all three of those speeches by clicking on the videos to your right.
