13 Recent Arrests in Malden

The following information comes from the Malden Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Aug. 21

Jasmin Bryan and Erik Johnson, both of 566 Beach St., Revere, and Marvin Rivas, of 23 Russell St., Everett, were arrested at 2:41 p.m. Thursday at Fellsway West and Larkin Road. Bryan was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition and receiving stolen property over $250. Johnson was charged with carrying a firearm without a license (second offense), unlawful possession of ammunition, receiving stolen property over $250, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, motor vehicle operator giving a false name/address to a police officer and arrestee furnishing a false name/social security number. Rivas was charged with carrying a firearm without a license (second offense), unlawful possession of ammunition, receiving stolen property over $250 and distribution of a Class B drug (subsequent offense).

Vincent Ascoli, of Everett, was arrested at noon Thursday at Kappy’s, 77 Commercial St., and charged with open container/drinking in public.

William Davis, of 82 Summer St., Malden, was arrested at 11:04 a.m. Thursday at the Malden Center MBTA Station, 25 Commercial St., and charged with open container/drinking in public.

Mina Labdaoui was arrested at 6:55 a.m. Thursday at Dunkin’ Donuts, 245 Pleasant St., and charged with trespassing.

Wednesday, Aug. 20

Jean Bresilla, of 11 First St., Malden, was arrested at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday at Walgreens, 185 Centre St., and charged with possession of an illegal knife and open container/drinking in public.

John Plavetsky, of 18 Stearns St., Malden, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. Wednesday at Malden High School, 77 Salem St., and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon on school grounds, carrying a dangerous weapon (second offense) and a violation of a miscellaneous municipal ordinance/bylaw.

Tuesday, Aug. 19

James Melton, of 110 Pleasant St., Malden, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Tuesday at 299 Pleasant St. and charged with unarmed robbery.

Duraisamy Somasunderam, of 69 Bell Rock St., Malden, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday at 69 Bell Rock St. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a harassment prevention order.

Tawanna Rezendes, of 341 Broadway St., Cambridge, and Christopher Ries, of 139 Heritage Drive, Whittinsville, were arrested at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday on Commercial Street. Rezendes was charged with possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class E drug. Ries was charged with operation of a motor vehicle with license suspended and failure to stop.

Alex Pierce, of 49 Highland Court, Malden, was arrested at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday at 49 Highland Court on a warrant for possession to distribute a Class A drug, possession to distribute a Class B drug and a drug violation within 100 feet of a park or playground.
