DeRuosi Offered Malden School Superintendent Job

School Committee votes 6-3 to offer Revere's DeRuosi the job.

The School Committee voted 6-3 Monday night to offer Revere Assistant Superintendent David DeRuosi  the top school job in Malden.  DeRuosi accepted the offer and will now enter contract negotiations with the School Committee.

Lowell Superintendent Chris Scott was supposed to interview for the position Monday night. She withdrew her name from consideration, so the School Committee had to decide between DeRuosi and long-time Malden school hand Robert McCarthy.

Malden Patch will have more on the DeRuosi nomination Tuesday morning.
