MALDEN, MA - The location-rating site RoadSnacks compiled data to determine the worst suburbs of Boston.
The site said Malden was the eighth worst. What do you think?
RoadSnacks used data from the 2009 to 2014 Census’ American Community Survey to find different Boston suburbs’: education levels; incomes; job opportunities; population density (lots of things to do); and appeal of local homes.

According to RoadSnacks, Malden has a population of 59,388 with homes typically costing $310,300and adjusted median incomes of approximately $37,922. They also found that Malden was one of the worst suburbs when it came to education.

Malden’s worst criteria was in education: it tied for 4th worst in the educational category because of low expenditures per student and a high student-teacher ratio. Home values are also low in Malden, and that’s typically a sign that there’s a lack of demand to live there.”
