Malden Fire to Conduct Fire Safety Checks for Senior Homeowners

MALDEN, MA – Next week, the Malden Fire Department is offering senior homeowners free fire safety checks in light of Fire Prevention Week.

During a home safety visit, the department will test the home's fire alarm systems and install battery operated smoke and carbon monoxide detectors if needed.

Single-family homeowners in Malden over 70 years of age are eligible for this service free of charge. To schedule an appointment for the week of Oct. 10-15, call the Malden Fire Department at 781-397-7383.
