Malden Kids Participate in Homeschooler Science Fair
Students of all ages gathered to display their exhibits.

On Wednesday, June 1, 20 local homeschoolers met at the Wakefield Library for the North Suburban Home Learners (NSHL) Science Fair. Participants ranged in age from 5-18 and projects included presentations on dinosaurs, lightning, the planet Pluto and volcanoes.
The event was organized by Malden resident Ellen Zagorsky Goldberg, who has been homeschooling her children for the past 11 years. Malden participants were Ilana Goldberg, age 5, who project was on rabbits, Penina B. Goldberg, age 8, whose project was "How Flowers Drink", Chana Goldberg, age 13, who researched worm composting and Leah Garcia, age 18, who presented about neon.
