• Car Crashes Into Malden Mexican Restaurant (patch.com) — Malden residents saw a scare at lunchtime when a maroon SUV crashed through the front entrance of Santa Fe Burrito Grill and Bar on Pleasant Street, but no injuries were reported. Malden police and firefighters quickly responded, temporarily closing part of Pleasant Street and restricting pedestrian access while debris was cleared and the vehicle was towed.
   

• Barstool's Dave Portnoy Reviews Malden Pizza Spot (patch.com) — Pisa Pizza on Pearl Street just got a 7.3 out of 10 from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy during his latest "One Bite" review in Malden. While Portnoy was still recovering from dental work, the longtime shop emphasized its pride in serving Malden for 34 years and good-naturedly rated his decision to review while numb much lower than his life's work.
   

• USDA Restricts PACA Violators in California, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Texas from Operating in the Produce Industry (usda.gov) — A Malden-based business, Hong Kong Supermarket of Malden LLC, is among six produce companies nationwide sanctioned by the USDA for failing to pay required awards under federal produce-trading rules. The action restricts the supermarket and its principal from operating in PACA‑licensed produce activities without USDA approval, underscoring the agency's push for prompt payment protections for sellers.
