• Malden Road Closed After Concrete Falls From Bridge (patch.com) — Drivers and pedestrians in Malden are being urged to avoid Dartmouth Street after chunks of concrete fell from the bridge overhead onto the roadway and parked cars, closing the street between Ramsdell Road and Garnet Street. Police, fire, and Inspectional Services are evaluating the bridge's condition while restricting traffic and keeping pedestrians to one side. Residents are asked not to move barricades and to use alternate routes until the city deems the area safe.
   

• Malden Man Facing Federal Child Exploitation Charges (patch.com) — Federal agents, with help from Malden police, arrested a Malden man on multiple child exploitation charges tied to an investigation in Michigan, then transferred him to federal custody in Boston. The suspect worked for AlphaBEST in Malden Public Schools and previously at Linden School, but officials say there's currently no indication Malden students were involved and emphasize that he's been terminated and barred from school facilities.
