Superintendent Search, Ceramic Tiles and More

In every life: There’s a good chance this mini-streak of wonderful weather will break today, with fog in the morning and a 50/50 shot at an afternoon thunderstorm.

The searchers: Hiring a new school superintendent isn’t as easy as placing an ad on Craigslist. The city’s formed search and advisory committees to help the full School Committee tackle the job.  See a list of the members here. 

Under pressure: Take advantage of a free program and get your at the Senior Center. Screenings start at 9 a.m..

Fun with tiles: There’s an interesting art project happening at the Senior Center. A team of people will learn about ceramic art as they create a tile project for the building. Space is limited, and you have to commit to the full six-week program, so look before you leap with this one. Today’s session starts at 2 p.m..

A scrum full of Lancers: Who knew rugby as so popular around town? Malden Catholic takes on Arlington Catholic at Brother Gilbert Stadium for a 7 p.m. tilt.
