MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from the Marblehead police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Wed., April 13

  • 4:24 p.m. A woman on Front Street said someone claiming to be from National Grid read her meter, but when she called the company, they said they were unaware of such personnel being in that area.

  • 8:24 a.m. There was a bomb threat at Marblehead High School.
  • 9:47 a.m. A road rage incident was reported on Elm Street.
  • 11:45 a.m. A National Grid scam was reported on Washington Street.
  • 2:41 p.m. An IRS scam was reported on Prospect Street.
  • 4:08 p.m. A woman walking her dog on Cloutsmans Lane said her dog stopped and started "acting strangely" in front of a house. Police told her the animal could have possibly picked up the scent of another animal.
  • 5:58 p.m. An elderly man was scammed out of $2,000 after someone claimed his grandson needed the money after getting in an accident.
  • 9:47 p.m. There was a rollover crash on Bubier Road. No one was hurt.
