Assistant Superintendent presents special education framework (marbleheadweeklynews.com) — Marblehead Public Schools are rolling out a standardized framework for special education, aiming to ensure students receive consistent, needs-based services no matter which school they attend. Assistant Superintendent LisaMarie Ippolito outlined four specialized programs, from language-based to therapeutic and ABA/life skills, emphasizing data-driven decisions, behavior plans, and bringing students back into district whenever possible.
   

2. The town will again Turn Pink for Ellie (marbleheadweeklynews.com) — Marblehead will again "Turn Pink for Ellie" Oct. 2–4, with nearly 100 local businesses, events, and raffles raising money for the Ellie Fund's support of breast cancer patients. Residents can join a specialized bra-fitting at Liz Steinfeld, visit the Fall Fair and Pies for a Purpose, and finish with Brunch with Ellie at The Landing, all while donating via QR codes or raffles.
   

3. DPW discusses road, sidewalk work — and what's coming next (marbleheadcurrent.org) — Marblehead's DPW is mapping out how it will spend the remaining $6.48 million in voter-approved road and sidewalk funds, with major work planned on Pleasant, Humphrey, Evans, Curtis, Roosevelt, and Maverick streets. Officials admit they still lack a firm five‑year schedule, but promise a clearer 12‑ to 18‑month outlook, new online maps, and better communication so residents know when their streets might finally be fixed.
   

4. 200-year-old chair honors Marblehead's missing service members (marbleheadcurrent.org) — Marblehead has installed its first official POW/MIA Chair of Honor, a 200-year-old seat now displayed in the Select Board room at Abbot Hall to symbolize service members who never returned home. Veterans Agent Roseann Trionfi-Mazzuchelli and VFW Commander Ronald Knight led the dedication, underscoring that the chair is a permanent, unsittable tribute to more than 80,000 missing Americans.
