MARLBOROUGH, MA — Three members of the Marlborough Fired Department were honored at Monday night's City council meeting for their promotions. Two firefighters were promoted to Fire Lieutenants and a Fire Lieutenant was promoted to Captain.
Lieutenant Frederick W. Johannes was promoted to Fire Captain, Firefighter Brian P. Leonard was promoted to Fire Lieutenant and Firefighter Christie L. Clement was promoted to Fire Lieutenant. Clement could not make it to the swearing in ceremony on Monday.
Johannes took over as Captain on June 2 and Leonard started his new position in March. Both of the men had their family present for the ceremony, who pinned them in the presence of the council.
