Martha's Vineyard Man Pays Huge Fine in $200K Tax Scheme
Roger Armstrong, 61, was also sentenced to home confinement.

A former Martha’s Vineyard tax preparer paid $389,365 in restitution and was sentenced to nine months of home confinement for not paying $200,000 in taxes.
Roger Armstrong, 61, admitted to underreporting over $800,000 in income from his tax business in Martha’s Vineyard and rental properties from 2009 to 2011. He owned rental properties in Massachusetts and Florida.

Armstrong this week was also sentenced to three years probation and slapped with a $3,000 fine. He pleaded guilty to three counts of filing false tax returns.
