For many years she served as a curator at the Medfield Historical Society, where she was especially active in programs and archaeological digs at the Peak House. She was also a member of the Grist Mill Committee and Archaeological Advisory Committee, and she was an active volunteer at the Dwight Derby House.
Barbara will observe her 100th birthday on August 20th. She's a lifelong Medfield resident and a member of the Medfield High School class of 1936; in the class photo, Barbara is second from right in the front row. The photo was taken in front of what was then the nine-year-old high school. Now it is the 91-year-old Pfaff Center. The second photo was taken in 2016 at her home, and third photo was at the Medfield Public Library Centennial celebration on October 1, 2017 after she was interviewed by Medfield TV.
