$1.5 Million Appropriated For Medford Fire Headquarters

Mayor Stephanie M. Burke is pleased to announce that the beginning stages of a new Medford Fire Department Headquarters design is underway. Mayor Burke proposed a loan order and the Medford City Council unanimously passed the $1.5 Million for the planning and design of the new Headquarters.

“This is the first step in ensuring that the men and women of the Medford Fire Department receive a new state-of-the-art facility,” said Mayor Stephanie M. Burke. “I will be working alongside Fire Chief Frank Gilberti to assemble a building committee to begin the process.”

Additionally, the City is in the process of securing the specifications and plans for a new ladder truck. This lengthy process ensures that each truck is designed for the specific needs of the community. Chief Gilberti has been working over the last two months on this custom purchase.
