• Shooting Under Investigation In Medford (patch.com) — Medford police are investigating a late Sunday night shooting near 389 Salem Street, where no injuries were reported but two suspects were seen in dark clothing. Residents and business owners along Salem Street and nearby roads are urged to review security footage from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. and contact Medford detectives with any information to help the ongoing investigation.
   

• N.O.S.H. Nourishing Our Stomachs and Hearts Food Pantry (tufts.edu) — A new Medford/Somerville food pantry called NOSH, run by Tufts Hillel and Hillside Community Church, is slated to open in late October 2026 with Wednesday evening hours. It will provide free, nutritious food to Medford and Somerville residents facing food insecurity, and organizers say details on how to visit, volunteer, or donate will be shared soon.
