We are inviting healthy female teens between the ages of 13-15 to participate in a research study. Teens can earn up to $594 if they qualify and receive a picture of their&nbsp;brain. Researchers at McLean Hospital are investigating how stress may influence mood and brain activity. Teens will answer questions about their thoughts and feelings. Teens will&nbsp;also undergo an fMRI brain scan. Teens will also be asked to fill out very brief surveys on their smartphone and to wear a smartwatch that tracks their heart rate, skin&nbsp;conductance, physical activity (i.e., step count), and sleep patterns. Parent permission is required if under 18 years of age. Researchers at McLean Hospital are investigating factors that make some females better able to cope with stressful experiences and what makes some females more vulnerable to experiencing depression. By participating, you can help them better understand, prevent, and treat adolescent depression. Participants will answer questions about their thoughts and feelings and will also undergo an fMRI brain scan. Parent permission is required for females under 18.
