Arrest Made In Medford Man's Murder

Hamsa Warsame, 25, was shot and killed in Roxbury Oct. 26.

MEDFORD, MA — A Boston man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Medford man in October. James Nelson, 26, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of 25-year-old Hamsa Warsame.

Warsame and another man were shot on Westminster Avenue in Roxbury around 3:48 a.m. Oct. 26, police said. The pair were taken to the hospital, where Warsame was pronounced dead. The other man survived his injuries.

A third victim, a woman suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, was found in the area of Ruthven Street and Walnut Avenue, according to police. She was taken to the hospital and survived.
