Arrest Made In Medford Stabbing: Police
After he was stabbed, the victim chased the 18-year-old suspect down Benton Street before collapsing, police said.

MEDFORD, MA – Police have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing on Benton Street Thursday evening. Marley Chery, 18, of Wellesley Street, was taken into custody at his home and charged with assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon to wit knife.
Police said Chery stabbed a 20-year-old man in his leg and groin area around 6:45 p.m. Thursday. The victim and a witness chased Chery for about two blocks before the victim collapsed, according to police.
Nearby residents called 911 and rendered aid while emergency crews arrived at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Friday morning, police said.

Chery was arraigned in Somerville District Court Friday morning. Police said the attack was not random and the victim was targeted for a specific reason.
