Benjamin Nickerson, 38, of Medford

Benjamin Nickerson, 38, of Medford passed away at home and on his own terms on Dec. 26, 2015 after a long bout with Leukemia.

Nickerson was the adored husband of Katie Olsen Nickerson of Santa Ana, CA. He was the beloved son of Benjamin Nickerson of Woodstock, VT and Jan Pompeo of St. Johnsbury, VT. He was the treasured son-in-law of Bill and Ellen Olsen of Payson, Arizona.

As an adult, Nickerson moved around a lot. He met Katie on a blind date in Boston in 2000. Ben was a soccer star while attending Medford High School, and was a Local 7 Ironworker until 2007. He later became a Swiss-trained watch maker.

Family and friends will gather at the Dello Russo Funeral Home located at 306 Main Street in Medford on Jan. 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a service of remembrance at 4:00 p.m.
