Easy Gluten-Free Entertaining from Marty's Caterers

When it comes to entertaining, I try to keep the menu simple because I want to enjoy my time with my guests.  I also am not a Goddess of the Grill, which makes serving a coldcut platter is a logical option.  In years past, we've slapped together a couple of deli-sandwich platters from the local grocery store and called it a day.

However, since going gluten-free, we have had to be very careful about the coldcuts we select, as many contain gluten as a filler or may have been cooked in a marinade containing gluten (no, as a matter of fact, the surprises never end for us).  To boot, when serving cold cuts for a small crowd, the cross-contamination of gluten-filled rolls can be a nightmare to consider.

So you can imagine my joy at discovering that Marty's Caterers in nearby Stoneham sells a Gluten-Free Deli Platter.  Filled with freshly sliced Boar's Head brand roast beef, chicken, and ham, plus American and Swiss cheese, the platter comes with our family's favorite: Udi's Gluten-Free Bread!  The presentation is gorgeous and generous and the quality was outstanding.  The best part was that I simply served the platter and bread and not a single person realized they were eating gluten-free! 

When I picked up the platter, I had the pleasure of speaking with JasonDoward, one of the Executive Chefs of Marty's Caterers.  He explained how he took great care in selecting not only the deli meat, but particularly the bread, and chose Udi's out of several others for its consistency and quality.  I see a repeat customer in their future!
