First Bike Lane opens in Medford

In 2008 I attended an Executive Office of Transportation meeting at Medford City Hall regarding the Clipper Ship Drive Project and I made a request to include a Bike Lane.

Yesterday my request was granted.  

Thanks to Jim Silva of the South Medford Residents Together Organization (SMRTO) and the representatives of the biking community for attending the meeting and supporting this historic event.

There are numerous studies which promote the many benefits of bike lanes and hopefully we will see more in Medford.  Here is one such article:
