One of the tougher foods to find gluten-free is pizza. Like our search for the ultimate bread, it took us a while to find pizza that Ruthie enjoyed that didn't, um, taste like cardboard.
The Flatbread Company is the hands-down favorite thus far. We've enjoyed GF pizza at both the Bedford, MA and North Conway, NH, locations, which are both very kid friendly and casual. Most recently, we ventured to the Davis Square location, http://www.flatbreadcompany.com/FlatbreadSacco2010.html) which is housed in the former Sacco's bowling alley in addition to great pizza! We shared some with friends we were with and literally no one could tell the difference.
There may be a contender for "Greatest GF Pizza," however. Reader Janis Marcotti-Pothier raves about the pizza at Nana's in Everett (http://www.nanaseverett.com/). We recently enjoyed wings there with Ruthie, and they were outstanding. Ruthie will choose wings over anything any day of the week, but she promises that our next Nana's trip will include a sampling of the GF pizza.
