Last Green Up Clean Up of Summer A Success!
Members of Grace Episcopal Church joined Tufts University students during a pre-orientation program to clean up Tufts Park in Medford.
On Saturday, amid preparations for Hurricane Irene, members of Grace Episcopal Church joined students from Tufts University to clean up Tufts Park. The cleanup is part of the award winning Green Up Clean Up program created by Grace members in 2010.
The volunteers were pleasantly surprised to find only a small amount of trash in the park which was quickly dispensed with. However, the City's Parks Department was very interested in having volunteers to help with the park and provided mulch to be spread throughout planted beds and under bushes.
