Derek E. Tivnan, Lifelong Medford Resident, Dies at 41

Derek E. Tivnan, 41, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. 

Loving son of the late Andrea (Kinsella) and Edward Tivnan. Beloved father of Delaney Tivnan of Medford. Loving brother of Kevin of Dracut, David and his wife Laura of Malden and Brian Tivnan of Medford. Dear Uncle of Gianna Tivnan. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, Powder House Square, Somerville, on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Clement Church, Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Calling Hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Derek's name to the Delaney Tivnan Scholarship Fund, c/o Kevin Tivnan, 95 Tennis Plaza Road, Dracut, MA 01826.
