Encore Boston Harbor To Hire 1K At Career Fair

EVERETT, MA – Encore Boston Harbor will host its second large-scale career fair next week and plans to extend approximately 1,000 on-the-spot offers. The event will take place Monday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, 900 Boylston St.

Residents of Everett, Malden, Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, Medford and Somerville will receive exclusive access from 7-9 a.m.

"Last month, we interviewed nearly 4,000 candidates throughout our two-day career fair," Robert DeSalvio, president of Encore Boston Harbor, said in a statement. "We continue to be impressed by the level of talent and significant interest in joining our opening team, and we look forward to welcoming attendees to what we expect will be another successful event."

The resort and casino plans to hire more than 5,000 operational team members ahead of its mid-summer opening. Hiring preference for all open positions will be given to properly qualified residents of the host city of Everett and its surrounding communities.

In addition, Encore Boston Harbor has pledged to employ 50 percent women, 40 percent minorities and three percent veterans to operate the resort, the company said in a press release.

Career fair attendees are encouraged to pre-register online to minimize wait times, with walk-ins welcome. Candidates are also advised to apply to their desired position in advance at www.encorebostonjobs.com; bring three printed resumes; and dress to impress.
