Everett Man Protesting For Free T Rides Arrested: TPD

Lance Tinder, 29, blocked the entrance of a station because he wanted people to ride for free, police said.

EVERETT, MA — An Everett man was arrested Wednesday after blocking the entrance of the Downtown Crossing MBTA station, Transit Police said. Lance Tinder, 29, told officers he had a right to protest and wanted MBTA riders to enter for free, according to police.

Officers tried to get Tinder to leave, but he refused and resisted their efforts to take him into custody, police said.

He was arrested, and Transit Police found he had a warrant out of Boston Municipal Court on a charge of larceny from a person.
