Filmmaking Class Now Available at Medford Voke!

​Medford's Technical High School will be offering a filmmaking class for students 10-14 years of age.

From Medford Schools:

Medford's Technical High School will be offering a filmmaking class for students 10-14 years of age, that begins Monday, January 23rd, for a (10 week) program. The class will be held at Medford's Technical High School, 489 Winthrop Street, from 3:30 - 5:00 PM.

The cost = $250. Classes will be held on Mondays, and the schedule is as follows:

January - 23rd, & 30th
February - 6th, 13th, & 27th
March - 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th
April - 3rd

In this class, students can bring their creative ideas to fruition in a fun, collaborative and exciting environment. Students will learn skills in scriptwriting, storyboard sketching, character development, improvisation and camera skills. Choosing to use either their own iPhones or the camera equipment that will be provided, the group will write, shoot, and edit a film in a genre of their choosing. Students will learn to edit their films using professional edit software like Adobe Premiere. Also students will watch films, attend workshops and meet directors!

This class is presented by the Boston International Kids Film Festival. All final projects are eligible for submission into a special screening of the Boston International Kids Film Festival, being held in November of 2017.
