Group Wants Medford to be Idle Free
Go Green Medford says there are many benefits for not letting your car engine run.

A Medford group is asking people to switch off their engine when they are stopped, waiting for someone or something.
Go Green Medford has introduced its “Idle-Free” initiative. Doing so does not jut have benefits, but it is also the law.
“It’s wise to turn off your engine if you’re waiting for more than 10 seconds, but it’s downright illegal to idle your car for more than 5 minutes,” according to the Go Green Medford, citing Massachusetts General Laws.
