Medford, MA – On Sunday, December 14th, 2014, beginning at 12:00 Noon through 2PM, Temple Shalom of Medford, located at 475 Winthrop Street, will welcome families to celebrate the happy Hanukkah holiday with loads of fun! First-rate children’s entertainment, arts, crafts, games, traditional potato latkes, and a children’s book fair will be sure to captivate everyone on this Festival of Lights!

World-class and White House entertainer Spunky the Clown will perform a 45-minute show of stellar, silly stunts, amazing magic, wacky antics and tons of audience participation. The kids (and adults) will roar with laughter!

Hanukkah Party Highlights Include:

SPUNKY THE CLOWN: An outrageous performance of juggling, magical moments and spunky antics, with audience participation, geared for children of all ages and their families. Spunky has performed all over the world and multiple times at The White House in Washington D.C.!

YUMMY HANUKKAH TREATS: Crispy hot potato latkes and soft, sugary sufganiot (Hanukkah-style jelly doughnuts) will mark the festive holiday occasion.

SPECIALTY CRAFTS & GAMES: Menorah making and hands-on Hanukkah craft projects for kids; Spinning dreidels and several unique kids’ games will keep children laughing and learning.

JEWISH CHILDREN’S BOOK FAIR: A wide selection of children’s books will be displayed for sale – cash only please. These high-quality children’s books are rich with Jewish content and cultural diversity.

Temple Shalom invites all community members to come experience these warm, wonderful Hanukkah traditions with family and friends.

COST: A contribution of $10 per family is suggested, along with a donation of a new, winter clothing item for a child, to be donated to a local shelter.
