Multiple People Stabbed At Medford Home, Suspect In Custody
The incident occurred Monday night on Doane Road, Medford police said.
MEDFORD, MA — A person is in custody after multiple people were injured in a stabbing at a Medford home late Monday, police confirmed Tuesday.
Police first received a call just after 9 p.m. of an attack at a home in the 20 block of Doane Road.
A person was attacked in front of the house and in the driveway, police said.

The victim was apparently forced from the front steps to the front yard, where she was "physically assaulted, forced to the ground, and stabbed multiple times," according to authorities.
When others tried to help the first victim, the attacked grabbed another person and tried to force her to leave with him until she was able to break free, police said. The person was stabbed multiple times, police said.

Police said that as the scene unfolded, a third person yelled for the attacker to stop and attempted to intervene when the suspect stabbed her at least three times.
The first two people had injuries that were not life threatening, though the third one is more serious and will require surgery, authorities said.
Police later found the suspect, identified as Jace Pietro Cherchi, at South Station, where he was arrested. According to police, Cherchi is being charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over age 60, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of witness intimidation.
Cherchi was brought to the Medford Police Station for booking and then taken to Somerville District Court for arraignment Tuesday morning.
