Lance Martin Anniversary Show: Celebrating 32 years

On Saturday, August 1st, at 9:00pm The Lance Martin Band will have the show of shows at Ryles Jazz Club, Inman Square, Cambridge, MA. This event will mark 32 years that Lance Martin has played on the Stage of RYLES. On August 1st, The Lance Martin Band will have as its special guests, Sayida Rivers-Farmer on vocals, Berklee Professor and renowned drummer Yoron Israel, Jonathon Singleton on the Keyboard, and all the way from Pittsburgh, the incomparable Jazz/ Funk Bassist, Ronnie Biggs. The cover charge for the evening is a modest $10.

Lance began performing with The Herman Johnson Band, then The Billy Thompson Band. Soon after, Lance began getting his own bookings with his group, “Flute & Friends,” which later became The Lance Martin Band. Lance also performs there with his all-request Jazz Trio, brunches, and conducts youth Master-classes for the owners. Ronnie Biggs & Lance Martin are Best Friends and began learning their instruments around the same time: they’ve been playing for 48 years. The last show with Sayida Rivers-Farmer was a sell-out performance at RYLES, so you will want to make it a point to be there. Fine food and parking at 3 S&S lots are readily available in the area, as well as on-the-street parking.
