Lila Heenan, of Medford, Registered Nurse

Lila Frances Heenan of Medford died on Aug. 3.

She worked as a registered nurse for more than 50 years.

She was married to the late John J. Heenan, and was mother of Kathleen M. Kelley of Medford, John M. Heenan of North Andover, Thomas F. Heenan and his wife Debra of Medford, Elizabeth A. Thebearge and her husband Ronald of Malden and William J. Heenan and his wife Linda of Plymouth according to an obituary on the Doherty Funeral Home website.

She was the sister of John F. Callanan of Canada; grandmother of Lindsey, Michael, Leisha, Thomas, Kimberly, Christopher, Jennifer, Liane, Ella, Olivia and the late Kristen; step grandmother of David, Leslie and Nicole; great grandmother of Christopher N., Sophia, Christopher S., and Luca; and step great grandmother of Joshua, Evan, Julia and Raymond. 

A wake will be held at Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Square) in Somerville, on Tuesday Aug. 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 512 High St. in Medford, Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
