Meadow Glen Mall Owners Looking To Expand

MEDFORD, MA – A new building could be on its way to Medford's Meadow Glen Mall. The owners of the space, Medford Associates, LLC, is seeking two special permits from the city to construct a 5,700-square-foot building, according to the Medford Transcript.

The single-story building is expected to have a medical office and retailer, so the owners need approval for "Medical Office Use" and "Retail Sales" special permits. It would be built in space next to Kohl's that has been used for additional and employee parking.

Some residents of the Mystic River Park Condominiums, located next to the mall, voiced their concerns about traffic and property values at a city council meeting Tuesday, the Transcript reported. The mall currently has five stores: Wegman's supermarket, Dick's Sporting Goods, Petco, Kohl's and Marshalls.
