Medford Block Party To Give Away Back To School Supplies

MEDFORD, MA — Rock The Block, a community block party hosted for all of Medford to come enjoy free food, games, fun, live performances, giveaways, and more, will take place on Saturday, August 20 from 12 to 4 p.m.

This first annual event is sponsored by Impact Church, which will be giving away hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies to children in attendance. Other giveaways for the day include a Nintendo Switch, bicycles, a flatscreen tv, and money for families to pay their bills.

“[This is] the perfect opportunity for families to embrace the last days of summer and leave ready for the school year,” Impact Church said in a news release.

Local artists and performers will also take the stage as kids enjoy bounce houses, snow cones, face painting, and games.

The event is free for all to attend and attendees are encouraged to register ahead of
time to guarantee entry for all giveaways and bill payment assistance.
