Medford Brothers Win at Regional Science and Engineering Fair

The Farah brothers were among several students representing Medford.

Congratulations to freshman Albert Farah and senior Joseph Farah for their awards at the Regional Science and Engineering Fair held on Saturday, March 18 at Somerville High School.

Other participants from Medford High School included Exsandrine Jean Marie, Wendy St. Jules, Divyani Karki, Shellby Falco,and John Li. The 41st Regional Fair was sponsored and supported by the Somerville Rotary Club, Tufts University and Distrigas.

Students from many schools were represented, including many public (Cambridge R&L, Somerville, Everett, Revere, Lowell, Methuen, Lexington), several private (including the Brooks School and Philips Academy), a parochial (Matignon), and some charter schools (Pioneer Charter School II, Pioneer Charter School of Math and Science).

Students at Medford High School and Medford Technical High School often complete projects as part of their academic coursework in Science. The Medford Public School District continues to support high school students in independent and student-driven investigations through a variety of programs and partnerships.
