Medford Declares Snow Emergency For March 13 Storm

The city's emergency parking rules will be in effect.

MEDFORD, MA – Medford has declared a snow emergency for tonight's storm, police said. The snow emergency will go into effect at 12 a.m. tonight, March 13 until further notice. Parking is not allowed on any emergency artery in the city.

Winter parking restrictions limiting parking to the odd side of the street will be enforced, police said. Violators will be ticketed and towed.

Boston Avenue, Central Avenue, College Avenue from George Street to Boston Avenue, Forest Street, Fulton Street, George Street, Governors Avenue, Grove Street, Hancock Street, Harvard Avenue, Harvard Street, High Street, Lawrence Road, Main Street, Medford Street, Mystic Avenue from Main Street to Crescent Street, Playstead Road, Riverside Avenue, Salem Street, Spring Street, Washington Street, Webster Street, Willis Avenue, Winthrop Street and Woburn Street

Residents who have driveways, garages or other off-street parking are not allowed to park on the street for longer than one hour from 12-7 a.m. and could face a fine. Any vehicle parked on a public way for 48 hours without being moved is subject to towing and a fine.
