Medford Fall Construction: 4 Projects Scheduled
Work will begin on four significant projects across the city this season.
MEDFORD, MA — The city has awarded D&R Paving the bid for its fall construction projects. Timing of the projects are subject to weather conditions and contractor staffing levels. They are scheduled to begin this fall at the following locations:
Governors Ave.

Beginning the week of September 30th, work will begin to install curbing, repair the sidewalks, reset utility castings, grind and repave the roadway on Governors Ave from Mass Ave to South Border Road. The beginning half of the roadway was completed in the Spring.
Sagamore Park

Sagamore Park will have their utility castings reset, the road will be overlaid with 2” of asphalt, and the necessary driveway repairs will follow.
Harvard Street
On Harvard Street, from Main Street to Winchester Street, there will be upgrades to all ADA ramps, all necessary sidewalk and driveway repairs will occur, the utility castings will be reset, and finally the roadway will be ground and repaved. This repaving will follow the work being performed by National Grid replacing all gas lines.
Winthrop Street
Winthrop Street from Mystic Valley Parkway to the train bridge before Boston Avenue will be upgraded with ADA ramps, the necessary sidewalks and driveways will be repaired, the utility castings will be reset, and finally the roadway will be ground and repaved.
