Medford First Responders Face Off in Charity Taco Challenge

MEDFORD, MA – Medford police officers and firefighters will go head to head Tuesday over the feared Taco Gigante at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant.

The 12-inch, two pound taco, stuffed with seasoned chicken, taco beef, pork carnitas, bacon, lettuce, refried beans, Mexican rice, salsa fresca, cheese queso sauce, hacienda and picante sauces, crema and pickled jalapeños, poses a challenge to any group brave enough to take it on but the competitors aren't only up against the taco.

The first team to have all members complete the monstrous meal will receive a $250 donation to the charity of its choice, and the runner-up will receive $100 to donate to its chosen charity.

This tasty spin on Battle of the Badges will begin at 4 p.m. at Margaritas Medford, 75 Station Landing. Come out and cheer on the teams, while enjoying a Taco Gigante of your own.

Priced at $12.99, $2.00 from each purchase will go to Team IMPACT. A free regular taco comes with the purchase of a Taco Gigante.
