Medford Harvest Your Energy Festival To Celebrate Green Efforts
The 10th annual celebration will feature live music, tours of the wind turbine, a raffle and more.
MEDFORD, MA — The following is an announcement from the city of Medford.
Mayor Stephanie Burke invites all residents of Medford to the 10th Annual Harvest Your Energy Festival on Saturday, October 19 from 12 pm to 3 pm in Riverbend Park behind the McGlynn Elementary/Middle School located at 3002 Mystic Valley Parkway in Medford. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside of the school.
In partnership with the Energy and Environment Committee, this year's festival will feature tours of Medford’s Wind Turbine, live music from local musicians, opportunities to recycle textiles and electronics, and document shredding, as well as the presentation of Medford’s Green Awards. Exhibitors at the festival will have information on solar and home energy savings, energy loans, composting opportunities and much more! TechniArt energy savings boxes will also be on sale for just $10 with $5 from every kit going to Mass Fallen Heroes to support veterans and Gold Star families.

The festival will be an opportunity for residents to support local organizations and learn about their green products and practices while also enjoying a beautiful day on the banks of the Mystic River. Those in attendance will receive a free entry ticket for this year’s raffle just by checking in at the sign-in table. The festival is hosted by the Medford Office of Energy and Environment and the Green Consumers Alliance (formerly Mass Energy).
