Medford High Softball Opens Postseason Play Today

Today is Thursday, May 30. Here are five things you need to know.

1.) Coming off a 11-9 regular season, the 16th-seeded Medford High softball team opens postseason play at 4 p.m. today at Tufts Park. The Mustangs are hosting No. 17 Malden, also 11-9, in the preliminary round of the Division 1 North bracket.

2.) The 12th-seeded Medford High girls’ lacrosse team lost 18-6 at No. 5 Acton-Boxboro Wednesday in the preliminary round of the Division 1 North bracket. The Mustangs finish the season 11-5-1.

3.) The 23rd-seeded Medford High boys’ lacrosse team also fell Wednesday, 15-3 at No. 10 Westford Academy in the preliminary round of the Division 1 East bracket. They end up 9-12.
