Celebrating over 90 years of excellence in fashion education, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. SFD faculty and students are active partners in our local community, collaborating regularly with organizations and businesses through internships, exhibitions, field trips, and special events. This transformative workshop guides you through three shamanic journeys designed to help you meet your artist spirit, connect with an animal ally, and retrieve a creative power symbol. After journeying you will have the opportunity to create what you perceived through collage and painting. No experience needed in art or journeying, just an open heart. Please bring a journal, a yoga mat to lie on, a sleep mask or scarf to cover your eyes, a blanket or anything else to keep you cozy and a little something to place on the altar. A canvass board, and art supplies will be provided.&nbsp;This $65 event is held in collaboration with Devlin O'Malley Healing.
