The robbery was reported around 9:40 p.m. after Barry fled the store, according to the police report. The store clerk allegedly pulled a baseball bat as Barry went behind the counter to get the money, prompting Barry to swing at him and run out the store toward a waiting car on Morrison Avenue, police said.

Shortly after, police pulled over a Nissan Maxima with a license plate matching the number provided by a witness, according to the report. Police searched the vehicle and ordered Barry to get on the ground after learning he allegedly had a knife.
