Medford Native's Salem Street Gym Opens This Week
Steve Stabile didn't have to look far for his next business venture.

MEDFORD, MA – A new gym that moved into the former MG Fitness space on Salem Street will open this Thursday. Blink Fitness is a new venture from Medford native Steve Stabile, who plans to open at least six more in the area in the coming years.
The gym's philosophy is "mood over muscle" and focuses on how exercise makes you feel versus how it makes you look. Since its inception in 2011, Blink has opened more than 80 gyms in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California.
Its Medford location has been renovated to include new floors, locker rooms and fitness equipment and improved heating and air conditioning systems. Memberships are $15 a month for just the Medford gym, $21 a month for access to more than 60 gyms and $26 for access to over 80 gyms.

Its location – in the same plaza as the new Target – is just five blocks away from where Stabile grew up. Patch spoke to Stabile back in October about what it's like starting a business in his old neighborhood. Read more here.
