Medford Police Investigating Hit-And-Run That Seriously Injured Pedestrian

MEDFORD, MA — A hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian is under investigation after an incident early Wednesday morning, the Medford Police Department announced.

Police responded to the intersection of Harvard Street and Winchester Street at approximately 5:30 a.m. and located a pedestrian with serious injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the pedestrian was walking westbound on Harvard Street and crossing Winchester Street in the crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle turning left from Harvard Street onto Winchester Street. The crash is believed to have occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m.

The vehicle was described by the victim as a dark-colored, four-door sedan. Police said the vehicle left the scene following the crash.

Police are asking residents and business owners in the surrounding area to review any available security, doorbell, or surveillance camera footage that may have captured the vehicle before or after the crash. This includes footage of Harvard Street and Winchester Street around the time of the incident.
