Medford Rallies For Judge Safety
A Supreme Court Justice was visiting the city Thursday night.
MEDFORD, MA — Community members gathered outside the Chevalier Theatre on Thursday night to raise awareness for judge safety, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.
The protest took place in support of Supreme Court Justice Kentaji Brown Jackson, who was in Medford at the time. This rally marks the second of its kind by Support the Courts, who aims to spread the word of danger it believes judges are under and that they are in need of more protection. According to the group, judges and their families have received more than 1,000 serious threats in the last five years.
Organizers say the recent murder of Charlie Kirk heightened the concerns about the countless threats judges are receiving.
