MOONSTRUCK THEATER COMPANY is pleased to present FARRAGUT NORTH, opening Friday, April 1st, and running for four performances through Sunday, April 3rd.
Stephen Bellamy is the wunderkind press secretary for Democratic candidate for president Governor Morris. He has built a career that men twice his age would envy but, during a tight presidential primary race, Stephen's meteoric rise falls prey to the backroom politics of more seasoned operatives. FARRAGUT NORTH is a fast-paced drama about the lust for power and the costs one will endure to achieve it.
"The question you gotta ask yourself is whether you want friends, or whether you want to work for the President?"

FARRAGUT NORTH features 8 performers from the Greater Boston area, including Medford resident Austin nowak who plays the lead character Stephen Bellamy, the ambitious, brutally intelligent idealist who finds himself caught in a scandal he wasn’t prepared for.
“You see a candidate give speeches, you see their press releases to deal with a story here or a gaffe there, but you never see what's behind it or what happens when something goes wrong. This show pulls back the curtain and gives you an inside look at what could happen, and likely has happened, on the campaign trail,” says Nowak.

Nowak is a relative newcomer to performing, having made his stage debut last fall in Picasso at the Lapin Agile with the Wellesley Players. Originally from Texas, he received a degree in engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans and eventually found himself settling in Boston for his professional life. “The past year has been about personal discovery and getting outside my box, including local theater, guitar lessons and Spartan Races - and I look to make 2016 just as full of new and exciting things,” says Austin.
FARRAGUT NORTH is directed by Emma Watt. The production will be presented at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA, in the Black Box Theater.
