Medford Residents Can Now Get Sex Offender Alerts

Police have partnered with OffenderWatch, which allows residents to sign up for email alerts when offenders move into the neighborhood.

MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Police Department has partnered with OffenderWatch, which notifies residents when sex offenders move into the neighborhood. Residents can sign up for email alerts to stay notified.

According to the department, OffenderWatch is a sex offender management and community notification tool that is utilized by hundreds of agencies in dozens of states. Law enforcement uses OffenderWatch to manage and monitor the whereabouts, conduct and compliance status of registered offenders in Medford.

OffenderWatch is updated throughout the day as offender addresses and information is given to its office. Residents may enter an address in the county and see real-time information about the offenders within the specified radius of the address entered.
