Medford Residents Hurt In Mystic Valley Parkway Crash
State Police identified the man they charged with OUI following a head-on crash Thursday evening.
MEDFORD, MA — Two Medford residents were injured in a serious crash on the Mystic Valley Parkway Thursday evening. State Police also charged one of the drivers, 22-year-old Chelsea man Helser Msaravia, with operating under the influence.
State Police said Msaravia was driving a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta on the southbound side of the parkway when he crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2012 BMW X3 SUV. The crash happened near Pine Ridge Road in Medford around 6:05 p.m., according to police.
A 35-year-old woman and 39-year-old man in the BMW, both Medford residents, were hospitalized with minor injuries. Msaravia also sustained minor injuries, while his passengers, a 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old, were seriously injured and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

Msaravia was also charged with negligent operation, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation, according to State Police. Bail was set at $20,000 and he will be arraigned when he is medically cleared.
