MEDFORD, MA – The candidate field for the next Medford superintendent has been whittled down to two. Members of the school committee on Monday voted on two of the four semifinalists, with Dr. Marice Edouard-Vincent and Thomas Martellone emerging as the final two candidates.
According to the Medford Transcript, all seven school committee members voted for Edouard-Vincent, an instructional superintendent in the Boston Public Schools. Four committee members voted for Martellone, a Medford resident and principal of Fiske Elementary School in Lexington.
The committee will next observe Edouard-Vincent and Martellone at their current schools. The candidates will also give a presentation to the school committee at a public meeting.
